Trainings for Trainers in Greece

Within the project DARE-NET the “trainings for trainers” of ANTIGONE was  hold on the 7th March 2014  in Kalohori (2 sessions) and in Thessaloniki (1 session) with 27 participants in total and it continued on the 26th and the 27th March 2014 in Sindos  with 8 participants. Kalohori and Sindos are areas of the district of Central Macedonia where a big number of roma communities live and attend schools.

Trainings for Trainers in Bulgaria

Within the project DARE-NET Integro Association realized two trainings for trainers. The first training with participation of 14 Roma students was held 15-17 December in Hissarya, Bulgaria. Host for the second training was elected Razgrad, participants were 26 representatives of NGOs,  roma activists and teaches. The topic of the trainings were “Educational problems of children from vulnerable groups, school segregation and quality of education".

Training for Trainers

In October 2013 one of the key activities of the project – training for trainers was realized in the Czech Republic.

The training was realized within the project DARE-net – Desegregation and Action for Roma in Education). The main theme for the training was the issue of school segregation of Roma children – history of the educational system in the Czech Republic, its development, current situation, and consequences of this on-going, unlawful practice, successful projects aimed at removal segregation, testimonials of DH case and others versus Czech Republic applicants.

Desegregation - Practical Aspects of Strategic Goals

The seminar: Desegregation – practical aspects of strategic goals was held on 5-6 December, 2013 in Zagreb, under the scope of the  DARE-Net Project (Desegregation and Action for Roma in Education-Network.; ). The seminar was jointly organised by the European Roma Rights Centre and the Govenrment office for human rights and rights of national minorities of the Republic  of Croatia. Other institutions and organisations which supported the seminar by participation of their representatives, either  as lecturers or as discussion participants, were: the Ministry of education, science and sports, the Croatian Parliament, the Children's ombudsman office, United Nations Development Programme, Open Society Foundation and International Step by Step Association. The seminar was held at the European Commission Representation  premises in Zagreb.
